Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against India at the Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore on Friday.
Sourav Ganguly made a comeback into the Indian team and he was preferred in the playing eleven ahead of regular opener Gautam Gambhir. Zaheer Khan failed to make it to the side as India opted to play both it's spinners Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, while Ajit Agarkar and Irfan Pathan were named as seamers.
Pakistan also opted for a makeshift opener in Shoaib Malik, who did well in their previous series against England.

:DBoth the teams are in form so the series will be an unforgettable series. From my point of view Pakistan is much better than India coz the last year that how they beat India in their home. So India is under pressure Pakistan had recently played well against England who is the ASHES winner if the Pakistan can beat them then y can't India.
Wishing good luck to both the teams

Friends & countrymen All those who even dream India will lose, are backing the wrong horse. So what if the bowlers have not earned thier match(fixing) money; in cricket we have batsmen too...All the best INDIA. Did'nt you all notice the empty stands of Lahore, these are due to the fear that PAK may lose and the DICTATOR may get all present in the Gidafi Stadium terminated by a bullet. GOD BLESS.
