I came to know about the "Overseas Citizenship of India" or the OCI .. conferred upon Indians living abroad or Indians which have become the citizens of some other country besides India.
Could somebody please provide me with the information about the names of those NRI's who have been declared as the winners of the first OCI this year?
Also we would like to hear from you what do you think about the whole issue. How fair is it? Your comments are valuable to us...
Thanks a lot for participation...

Below two people were awarded OCI by our PM
Intel executive and India-born American, Nivruti Rai
CEO of the Chicago-based National Bancard Corporation, Iftekhar Shareef
I think its great, since you get almost same rights as an Indian, expect voting or acquiring high level positions sunch as PM, President, High Court/Supreme Court Judge etc. We recently become British, so this is great news.

thanks for the info...even i think that this is amazing.... for those who have lived in other countries and still made their motherland proud of them...it is an excellent oppurtunity to be in touch with India forever... and yes, it is absolutely justified to take away the right to vote and the right to hold a position in the public sector...because they get these privileges in the country where they are citizens... What do others have to say about it? Please leave your comments folks..??
