PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.
For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.
The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.
This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists.
Please pass this along to everyone possible.
Please note me got this in 2 different emails 1 from Miss Shweta Sultania and other from sonali ........................" Me not sure of the validity but thanks to both of them for emailing me
Thanks

Well, a friend of mine checked with City Bank in India if they offered such a pin reversal facility, but they denied any such thing. I am guessing it must be the same for other banks as well. Instead of believing what you get in e-mails it is always good to check with your own banks. Internet is an excellent source of information, but along with that comes the fact that people trust internet and it's information, and there are people who like to play pranks and fool people.
Another thing that i'd like to add here is those e-mails which require you to forward e-mails to help one person or another. A few things to keep in mind is that most of these e-mails do not provide a valid date when the e-mail first originated. I know a couple of such e-mails which i've got back even after 2-3 years. Do you really think that people won't have been helped till then if they need it? No AOL, or Ms gives one cent or 5 cents per e-mail forwarded, because believe it or not, it is not possible for them to track emails. There are other ways of actually helping those people who need your help rather than forwarding baseless emails. All these e-mails create useless internet traffic. And if you still want to forward such e-mails, you could for once search whether the e-mail information is legitimate or not by using the search engines.
I know that was way off the topic, but I guess needed as well. Cheers all!!
