Hello friends,
Do u think, we are doing justice to our very precious Indian classical music by lsitening to those so called noisy indi-pop and remixes? We cant have a more sweet, serene, divine and melodious music anywhere in the world. Do u think that the new generation should forget the basics of the valuable indian classical music.

hello all At times we do things that ought not to be done. We have a very rich culture in India. this fact not only relates to music but to the general trends of the society. We are tending to imitate the West even when we know that what we have been given is much more than them. As far as music is concerned, even today's music can not work without the knowledge of the basics of the valuable indian classical music. Music is the language of the heart. really what today's generation listens to is by no means a language of the heart. O.k. we all have discretion in choosing what we want to hear....but i think we are moving towards noisy indi-pop and remixes, as abhilash puts it, not because we "really" like them , but to be a part of the modern "westernized society" we tend to like them. And another thing i would like to say here is that, we never value what we have until we lose it. the west is inspired by the indian music, though the number is quite less, and this is solely because of the fact that hindi is not a universal language. We have never enforced anybody to do as we would want them to do. I drifted from the topic of indian music by mingling west in between, but i think that was required... that is a lot for now Whoever reads these plz drop in ur comments on the topic, it would be great. Bye for now keep smiling.

i think we accept all that we are given.on T.V. channels, movies was maximum we are given to listen are those pops and noisy songs.now we have adopted a habit of listening those. but that is not the real music.actually we dont know the depth of our own music because nobody tells us.how will we be acknowledged about the indian classical music untill we listen it.and those who listen they know the depth of this music.it is much effective than those noisy pops. i think people should be encouraged to attend programs on classical music.they should be made to listen this music.i am sure they will forget these pops because our music is the most powerfull music.indian classical music has not lost its importance but it is away from the people.need is to make people familiar to it.
